There's sooo much that I could say about my time in Manitou....but I think this is the most important....
It's amazing how many times we can say that God has all of us and yet know deep inside that He doesn't....I went to Manitou fully believing that my all belonged to God and was called out (by God) on the very first day. There were parts of me and my wanting to minister to people that I wasn't giving God access to...and the amazing thing is that God didn't scold me....he just gave me a better option! He told me that if I let Him carry me, then I'll be able to carry more. I love that God offers us "if/then" scenarios and that this one is soooo simple! " If" I rely on God and not my own plans "then" I will not only be less frustrated but trusted with more and able to carry more. There are a lot of situations that I have been frustrated with and as I've given them to God, He is giving me opportunities to speak His love and truth into people's lives. Instead of backing down or running away because I can't handle it, I'm placing the people that I care about in God's hands. Because I am submitted to Him, because I am listening for His words and because I am following Him I know I will be used in ways that I never could be on my own! I feel freer than I've ever felt before and more excited than ever about what God can and will do through me as I allow Him to lead me through this life! As for the people of Revolution Church....THEY ROCK! lol!! They accepted us as family from the moment we met and just loved on us and spoiled us as much as we would let them!! I'm soooo excited to see God use them in Manitou to show God's love to a community that is heartbreakingly deceived and in desperate need of freedom!!!- Lisa Hildenbrandt
