As the director of this brand new and thrilling ministry, Mission Manitou, I thought I'd be leaving the testimonies to other people! But, I have to get the word out- God is moving! On a late Sunday evening, after a heavy and white hot worship service, we went to Cave of the Winds for a night of total darkness. We started around 10pm- no light, no sense of time. We began the evening in silence. Then, for at least an hour and a half (I presume- nobody could look at their watch!), one by one the thirty something people in the cave started to repent. There were cries of deep hurt, deep sorrow. This then led us to a desperate craving for the Holy Spirit. We emptied ourselves, and now we were ready to be filled with healing, freedom and power! We prayed in the Spirit and worshipped with such brokenness and joy. After an hour or so we entered into a time of prophecy. People who had never prophesied before shared what God had on their heart. We were just about to transition into the final phase of declaring the heart of God in warfare prayer. I was interrupted by a girl who had been pressing in so hard all week long. God had set her free just hours before. I had asked this girl to pray for me during the Sunday evening service. I had a very painful knot and pinched nerve in my shoulder. I've had it for about six months. It caused me to lose feeling in my right hand. She interrupted there in the cave and told me she saw such a clear picture, and it was about me. She experienced the terrible reality of witchcraft in the city of Manitou Springs and she also experienced the amazing freedom of deliverance. She saw, in her prophetic vision, someone intentionally cursing me. (Someone unknown- as a pastor in this city, we do have strong and continual intercession of proteciton against attacks like this.) So, we all pressed in and prayed. God gave her that vision. Of course, he wanted me healed. So, we just agreed and enforced the will of God. As everybody prayed, my whole shoulder and arm caught fire. It was amazing. I've been healed many times, but this one was special. It happened in the midst of a 'school of prayer' in a dark cave. It happened through one of the people who had so desperately wanted God in her life to stir with power. My arm was burning all night and when I woke up the next morning.
